The last Swedish luxury car maker was founded in 1927 in Gothenburg Sweden and is known around the world for its elegant designs and reliability but perhaps most of all- for its amazing safety.
Since the early beginning, Volvo and its management focused heavily on safety, arguing that because a car is operated by humans and for humans it should be as safe as possible.
Along with Mercedes-Benz, Volvo invented a lot of safety tech that is common today- 3 point seatbelt, laminated glass, special car chassis components for impact protection and booster seats.
Apart with safety, Volvo is also well known for station wagons. Though less popular these days, olden days Volvos were indestructible, reliable and safe as a bunker. Most of them are still on the roads today. Volvo makes small hatchbacks, saloons, SUVs and of course station wagons hat are still regarded as beautifully built and very safe- perfect for every family.
Volvo is refreshing its lineup these days- new focus on luxury, high tech safety systems and efficient and clean powertrain. Volvo is on the rise and that’s good.
