BMW is the world’s largest luxury car manufacturer and it has worked hard over the years to gain that status.
From it’s humble beginning after the first world war as a small, restricted aircraft engine maker to its giant status today as one of the “German big 3”, BMW has worked hard over the years on its image and perception.
One of the key elements to every BMW is the handling and driving dynamics. Even though, not every car is perfect, they all seem to drive with the same vivre and excitement that sets them apart. In every category, when ever a new rival is trying to focus on driving dynamics- they put BMW directly in their sight.
And the engines- BMW make some of the world’s best engine, weather it’s a 2.0l diesel or a bi-turbo V8- they are all works of art and suit the cars perfectly.
In the past years, BMW has focused it’s attention to efficiency and advanced technologies and has created a new division of electric cars- the i range. It has introduced successfully the i8 sports cars with great demand and it moving to implement its knowledge and technology into other cars like the new 7-series and X5 hybrid.
Will it remain number 1? It’s hard to say- they have a mix of great products and amazing cars, but Mercedes and Audi are difficult rivals.
